Yeah, but it wasn't a big drop, even at the time you said you were shocked it had cracked from the short fall it had. Mine was cracked when it fell onto a carpeted floor.

I'll be getting a SwitchEasy case for mine, like I did with the 3GS. One version of those come with a dock adapter that fits anything with a universal dock (of which I have two). My portable speakers won't take a cased phone, but I have a cable to deal with that problem.
I don't care so much about scratches - they're just cosmetic. However, breaking the glass is a different matter and the insurance excess for that is now £100. I'd rather pay £20 for the case. |

I've never really been that much of a fan of White as a colour for anything, cars, appliances etc. It shows up the dirt so easily, often discolours in nasty ways over time, usually heading towards yellowish off-white. Given how often it's ending up in peoples hands is it really a good idea to have a white phone? Not convinced... would rather go with black/grey.

I've always kept my 3Gs in a sock type case. Protects it well enough from keys and coins in my pocket and it's no trouble to whip it out when I need to. Only slight gripe is that I keep the bottom of the phone at the open end (so that the speakers aren't covered up and muffled) which has meant the the dock connector gets full of pocket fluff.

I've had a white 3gs case for 2.5 years and it looks like new. Doesnt seem to get dirty. There doesn't seem to be any discolouration or yellowing on it & it's had a lot of use

I could post a pic of mine if you like so you can see, it's exactly the same as it was. It's even been gardening with me, and it shows no evidence of it! It's not ..plasticy, it's a totally different feel.

In anticipation of the iPhone next week, I've started thinking about what apps I want/need and how best to organise them in terms of pages and groups. I'm using my iPod Touch to experiment
Can I ask any of you current users how you organise stuff on your phones? I'm being my usual indecisive self and can't quite decide how best to organise things
