Plenty more than I have. All I have now is 2 lappys and 2 desktops, one for my parents to use. They also have their lappys for work.

Got 2 broadband routers, but nothing excessive. Its just not required any more.

Electricity? You had Electricity? Lucky. If we wanted Electricity we had to 'op onto this bike attached to a dynamo and battery, cycle for 2 hours and we'd only just have enough to boil a kettle.

I have 3 PCs downstairs connected to a bog standard wireless router. There is a cable running from the router to an 8 port switch upstairs which has 7 PCs attached. The two laptops are usually kept downstairs and connect wirelessly (the old one is pretty crap and needs to be practically touching the router to connect).

No heating required in my bedroom

The whole lot is connected using a basic windows network - no need for anything fancy chez Bijstan (even if I did have any tech knowledge) - as long as they can all access the web for DC projects and files can be transferred between them, that's all I need.

I have 3 monitors downstairs (1 for each PC) and 4 upstairs shared between the 7 up there.

You were lucky...

When I was a fledgeling we had to go out and find spent bicycles and lick the tyres to get any kind of charge to power things...
