Just chased the cat into the house with a broomstick :/ She dashed out earlier but she really is not going to like it out there tonight!!!

Doubt she's going to like it for the next fortnight if the prevelance of fireworks near you is anything like here :/

In regards to door answering (I missed this earlier) Jarp has unwittingly volunteered for it after pointing out that the bucket of sweets from the cottage is still sat in our hall

Our pathway is really slippy and dark, so they usually fall over trying to get to our house anyway
