Slept through it all. Bloke at work asked me if the earth moved for me last night, said no as I'm single. Then he told me there was an earthquake.

Slept through it in Chelmsford. I have been awake for a couple in Leicester. One was a 4. something and there was a 5.0 when a mine shaft collapsed somewhere nearby. Sitting there it sounds like a cross between a lorry and thunder slowly rolling towards you.

here's a very odd confession to make...
in 2002 (when i lived in the sunny midlands) i was convinced that the dudley quake was aliens landing - (probably because this was about 2 nights after i watched signs) i honestly and truly thought the house had rumbled because a spaceship had landed nearby. it woke me up, iirc it lasted a good few seconds, with a smaller quake a couple of seconds later (which of course could only be the crafts doors opening and crashing into the ground...) i was 16 - and still snook over to my mum and dad's room to get my dad to peer out of the window and make sure there weren't any horrific beings in the garden how daft did i feel in the morning... |

The Housing Patrol received 2 calls about it.
I witnessed nothing and happily snoozed through it all \o/

Didn't wake me up and I'm in the north end of Kent. I'd be surprised if it did get as far as us because I'm a very light sleeper and normally anything like that wakes me up.
