I tell you what pisses me off with status updates, people banging on about their kids. Yes I KNOW you have kids, I KNOW you're a new parent, yes I KNOW you're a proud parent, yadda yadda yadda...

Stop ramming it down everyones throat already!!!!

Isnt that pretty much the same as any other status update though?

Perhaps those with kids (not me cos I dont update my status) are as happy about telling everyone about thier kids as you are about your 'petty' updates that you think are important.

if you are that incensed about people with kids and thier updates, why not remove them?

Haha! It's turning into the Facebook therapy thread!

It's the same thing when people use their ultrasound scan as their main profile picture. You might as well be posting a satellite picture of the moon's surface for all I can see in it. In fact there should be a rule that if you have a closed profile you should be obliged to put an actual picture of yourself up, otherwise if someone searches for you how are they meant to know if it's you or not?! All they have is the profile pic to go on.

Same here, I saw an ultrasound pic at the weekend, makes no bloody sense to me at all

How are people supposed to find you with no pic and you have a closed profile? Kinda defeats the object!

Certainly was not flaming you, and what difference does it make as to whether I have kids or not?

I check my facebook once a day usually, thats about it. I dont even look at the status updates, or other peoples profiles.

I do agree with that though.. dont see the point of a profile pic, not being yourself.
