As you can imagine, such an offer means the page is getting HAMMERED.

I'd be tempted at £65 but I gave up as it was loading for 23 minutes and still only had a background colour.

It does however make me ever more suspicious that the 360 replacement is going to be announced this year, especially considering the 360 is now almost as old as the XBox was when it's replacement was announced.
NXE is too much of an investment to move on from so soon, and they are still on a roll with the 360 so I imagine they're taking their time with its followup act. I hope we see a proper hardware revision this year (slim and quiet please!), but I cant see the 360 going end of life in 2009.

If your local Woolies haven't closed yet then try there but I wouldn't get your hopes up. If not, Zavvi £14.99 is the cheapest I've seen so far on the high street.

Aye. In the current economic climate there's no way MS would look to move from a £100 360 to a £300 720.

I think you'll see an announcement at the end of the year regarding a second console for a 2010/2011 release. The console is 3 years old now, most never last 5 years, so 2010 seems like a good time for release.

The Xbox was cut short when MS cut their losses and went back to the drawing board, not because the console was done. The PS2 got another 2 years on Xbox even though the Xbox was more powerful.
