Had my 2nd half marathon this weekend and took 4 mins off my personal best, despite a much hillier course and not feeling on form. Really suprised myself because I really didn't think I'd be able to beat my Leicester time. Dead pleased
Next big races I have arranged are: Belvoir Challenge (Feb) - 16 mile cross country Kilomathon (March) - 16.2 mile road race Ashby 20 (March) - 20 mile road race VLM 2010 (April) - 26.2 mile slog That will be interspersed with some much shorter (5-8mile) league road and cross country races This is getting hardcore!!

Congratulations, that's really impressive, you're not half getting into this running lark.

Yeah - I'll have to work on my pace I think. I get bored going slow, but going fast is obviously going to wear me out!
Its the Plymouth Half Marathon... Chap at work has set the ball rolling and all but signed me up... might be a laugh if nothing else! |

Anyone else struggling with the snow? Want to go out but would rather avoid breaking a leg.

Ice in Southampton finally disappeared & I managed a 3miler in about 20minutes this morning.
Journey, Lifehouse & Simple Plan on the go for encouragement. What else do people listen to on training runs?
