We've got a 2GB pebble thing we don't use now because we both have iPhones.

If you're interested we'll post it down to you

Well done camerajuan!!

I've got a 2GB creative zen stone. It's teeny, cheap and bullet proof. It's generally the same folder called 'Gym' of dance tracks, but on a long run I'll listen to something different. It was War of the Worlds last weekend

Thank god the snow is finally getting washed away. Did 6.5 miles last night in my trail shoes through slush, but it should all be gone today ready for a 5 mile race and run home (another 6ish miles) tomorrow

Loving my running at the moment. I'm very motivated with my VLM plan.

I use an iPod shuffle which is great for clipping on my belt or in a pocket - PG got me some amazing in-ear headphones for Crimbo which don't fall out / flay around when jogging so I can listen to music again I usually pop on something upbeat and aggressive that I find my legs matching the beat - tonight was Four Year Strong, the Bled and Cancer Bats.

I had a bit of a break from running as I didn't go out during the ice/snow at all - I've been both very busy and I'm ultra cautious about twisted knees etc after a cruciate injury a few years back.

Went out again tonight with no real 'plan' or route in mind, but felt I just wanted to get out there! Stuck my head down and headed on up the largest hill in the area to see how I'd get on - managed to peck away at it and felt stable (cardio wise) but found discomfort on the ...*ahem*... flabby bits near my hips (spare tyre area! ). This soon disappeared once the ground evened out though- any ideas what this could be?

My second wind came fairly quickly compared to recent runs and I found myself circuiting the sea-front and running up and down each set of steps (rocky style ) before heading home.

I'm not sure on distance, and not overly fussed either - tonight felt great and I've racked up another 55 minutes non-stop

Brilliant stuff, nice one Jingo Hmmm, thought on discomfort around your *ahem* flabby bits ... My first thought is posture. Are you maintaining a good posture running up hill or are you bent right forward with shoulders hunched? I had a tendancy to do that, but am very mindful of it nowadays. Also, make sure you hold your abs in when you're doing something difficult. We have a tendancy to push them out, which can lead to things hurting and again poor posture. They should remain under tension at all times. Another thing I thought of is are you swinging your arms about a lot to get you up hill? The extra motion might have put some strain on your hips.

I think the fact that it went away says it's nothing serious anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much. You're doing absolutely the right thing not focussing on distance. 55 minutes is cracking though, seriously well done

Going to be late for work, but will update on my cracking weekend's running later

Went out for a stress-breaker at lunchtime today. Was listening to an old Ferry Corsten live mix from around 2001

I'm off out again tomorrow too - probably an early morning though to kick start what is going to be a very hectic day /

I think it will be a short one of about 20 mins but i'll up the pace a tad and it will be good to just be out there (getting out there is the hardest part after all! )

Yup, getting across the threshold is the worst. Once you're out there, you may as well stick at it

BAD Picky!! Get trotting!
