Quantum of Solace (Going to watch for the 2nd time tonight) - 6/10 after the first viewing.

I guess I should have watched Casino Royale again just before as although I have had watched it ages ago I couldn't really remember it, so watching QoS lead to a bit of head scratching to start with....

There was something about the camera work that made me feel a dizzy, I hate it when in fast actioned scenes it is deemed that waving the camera around here there and everywhere makes for better viewing

Will have to see if after a second viewing I will adjust my rating

It wasn't when it was released and many films have borrowed from it over the years. It's also got the most solid story line and living world of any Sci-Fi movie ever, it's brilliantly acted and the set design is just amazing and the music...

I watched The Wrestler last night.

Supremely well acted, really showed the dark side of professional wrestling and Rourke's performance definitely warrants the Oscar nomination he's almost sure to receive.

*eak* Hope that's nothing to do with my reaction

Seen a few movies lately:

Hancock

Why does everyone not like this film?! It made me lol a lot and I thought it was pretty darn awesome! Will Smith, as usual, does a fab job!

Maybe I just like Mr Smith too much to not dislike it... and maybe it's because I love super heros too much that I couldn't dislike it too... but yeh. Good all rounder super hero film! It's nice it's not your bog standard super hero film whereby all super heros are these ace superb wonderful beings that when fighting for the law are loved and applauded! Good little twist to it all! Will deffo be watching again.

7/10

The Iron Man

Heh... yes... another super hero filum Loved it again. Nice to see Miss Paltrow in the movies again... seems like an age since I last saw her in a filum (I LOVE Sliding Doors... must find and watch it again to make sure I do really love it and am not just imagining things). ANyway, back to Iron Man, it's over the top, most stuff is nigh on impossible and it's fairly obvious what's going to happen. But it's fun, it has a sense of humour and has cool wickedo action scenes which are awesome as well as funky gadgets. Characters are lovable (although I think they need more building on) and by the end of the film, due to a couple of hints throughout you are thinking "oooo... is there a sequel? I hope so... wikipedia time - woo woo!" (I believe there is so in May 2010 - looks like I have my Birthday evening planned already )

I reckon a second will be awesome. As said, we need to see more about the characters and watch where their direction goes... maybe that was the whole reason they did the film like they have... so people will be enticed to go see the second? I feel like... this movie was a long introduction to everyone!

I don't know why, but Marvel films rarely let me down. Always a good night in with popcorn and snacks

It's going to have to beeee...

7/10

I would have said higher but Xmen does get the hands down followed by spidey man when push comes to shove so it needs to be lower down than them.

After wikipeding it we went back to the doovd and did see Mister Samuel L Jacksons appearance!

Schaaaaaweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

I always forget to watch til the end of the credits unless I'm at the cinema (I'm normally the last to leave as I'm like "No no seriously, there may be more!!! We must wait... no no wait... sit down... shh shh... it's okay... not long now!") On doovds though - completely forget!

Maybe its cos I didnt really know the story / characters until watching the filum but I didnt think I was going to like Robert Downey Jr. being him after watching the first 10 mins; but he actually slotted really well into it! Great film.
