Hello everyone of the xbox faith- what do you all feel are the best deals around on xbox packages? Everytime I look to buy one I find another bill / expense the gaming fund goes away on... Are there still RRoD problems? Are Elites worth the extra money or do the arcades do the job?
I don't have a HD tv but its 32" widescreen with a decent surround sound- internet connection is in the same room also so hardwiring for online play is a must!  Any ideas please boys & girls?

RRoD's still exist, but nothing close to the rate they used to be or to the extent some people would have you believe. Fails are rather quite rare now.
Elites aren't worth the extra now that Pro's offer 60gb HDD's over 20gb HDD's, so I would look at deals for them. If you don't have a HD then I would really recommend playing it through a monitor.

 It was over played though  I'd also go for a Pro over an Arcade or Elite, and play it through a monitor if you can  Really does make all the difference.

What cables are we talking about for plugging into monitors? Also - could it be plugged into a laptop?
