Four days later we get a call saying we've been taken on by the aforementioned other APR. They bought the (very little) stock and had agreed a new lease on the unit. About a week after that we get told they've lost the lease. Big panic. They kept us in work, in London, as a favour really. They have a new unit on the go also in London, tip top secret, we were pretty much told we'd be able to work there. I had an idea I would be able to be assistant manager, and it'll be a great store when it opens (excellent location money wise) but I didn't really want to work a) in London and b) specifically in the location - it'll make huge money but the proper Apple customers won't be in there, it'll be rich lah-de-dah types. Good commission, bad atmosphere, I suspect. We'll see though. I would have done it though. I phoned the APR that I *thought* would be the ones who nabbed the lease, it wasn't them, but I enquired about a training position, he seemed interested though. I was going to follow that up. Didn't really want to work for that firm though ideally. The company found out who stole the lease (another APR, we knew it was) and gave me their details, I rang them, got on great on the phone with the MD and the head of retail, he offered me a position starting ASAP, in St Albans at first to get me settled within the company, then in the Chelmsford store once it's been refitted. The way they stole the lease was by taking a five year lease instead of one year which the first company wanted. First company just wanted to rebrand and stock up the shop and open ASAP, this other firm (who I now work for) are refitting it totally to be bang up to date, with a proper launch campaign and launch day. Working in St Albans for 6-8 weeks is and will continue to be a big pain in the arse but I'm going in as Assistant Manager at the very least, and from what I'm told, as long as I don't balls it up I'll be the Store Manager (previous store manager has stayed with the first company). Working at St Albans first gives me a big head start in getting to know the company and will make me top boy at Chelmsford when it opens. Just hoping the Manager position comes through - it looks like it will though In the last week as well, the MD of the first APR who 'bought' us got back to me after being in the US and I explained, wished each other luck and so on. He said the door's open if it doesn't work out which is great. The company were good to us and tried their best, it just didn't work out. Then the day after the APR who I applied with for a training position phoned me to get me in and I had to let them down I felt very wanted that week, why couldn't it have been like that in the YEAR I was struggling to keep my head above water? Three of the biggest APRs in the country, two offering me jobs and one sounding like they were just about to! APRs... LIKE BUSES So yeah there's that! And I'm still around, on the other place I changed my name to PardonTheWait and it's dawned on me recently especially that a lot of people that I know on there don't actually know it's me. As for here, I know, I'm terrible, I lurk reasonably often but don't get around to posting as much as I should. I'm a terrible person And 'ello BB

Yup, went to bed at half 10, woke up at half 2, back to sleep just after 3am, awake again at 6.40, had an hours snooze from about 9.15 and then woke up at 10.15. Me tired, but it's only a few times a year it's on at silly o clock.

Now that's dedication!
I've had a lovely morning playing the new game I got for my birthday. Now off to my Aunt and Uncle's for the afternoon for a birthday tea Soooo nice to have a weekend without any retail work or even writing work. Can't remember the last time I had a proper weekend off
