It is cheesy, it is British (or Welsh). If that's not your bag, so be it. I'll not be coming to barge down your door over it. It's just a TV show.

I'm just disappointed really I really enjoyed Dr Who and the thought of a grown up version sounded great but I did fear that we couldn't pull it off and I felt we didn't.

Nah. It was just this thread causing a local time dilation event.

Anyway, it was never going to suit everyone, but we've only seen two episodes. I'm prepared to give it the benefit of a few more before making final judgement.

I quite liked it, so did Heather who has been coverted by BSG and B5 and has to my great suprise become a bit of a SciFi enthusiast!

As soon as the first one finished she wanted to watch the second episode.

I found these first two OK, nothing great but very much in the Who mould and quite entertaining.

Is it me or do I have some recolection of Captain Jack batting for both teams? I'm sure it was aluded to in DW and in the last episode of Torchwood, something about him not being fussy about what he beded as long as it was attractive? Could it be a lead on to a bit of Kirkesqe alien humping I wonder?

Yes, in the future there is no distinction, it was made clear in Dr. Who and it's already been mentioned in Torchwood that he bowls from both ends.

It's typecasting John Barrowman, he's that way inclined anyway.

Thought so, when I mentioned it to Heather she seemed a bit shocked which made me wonder if I'd dreamed it (which would be slightly worrying )

I'm sure Captain Jack mentioned in one of the episodes that he'd been pregnant as well.

Well, thought I may as well wake this thread up.

So, who's continued to watch? And has it been worth it?

It's fair to say the X-Files parallels have continued, but I'd say it's not doing too bad considering.
