Did you pay for it on a card, and the purchase can be traced that way?

You probably already know this but if MS don't help then depending on the RROD it might be repairable.
edit:- Got one in bits infront of me now, it's not surprising so many brick it with such a shoddy design around the gfx cooling. Currently wondering about modding mine. |

It was bought by cash so I've got no records of that - The only record of the date I got it is contained within this thread and pointing MS to a thread where I openly say that I'm defrauding Tesco probably isn't the best thing to do!
I've spoken to MS and without evidence of purchase or registration I'm pretty knackered. The manufacture date isn't helping me either. Technically I know that's irrelevant but I just have no proof whatsoever of the date of purchase. I tried the sale of goods thing but they seem to have all the answers to that one where they extended the original warranty because of the known problem. There's a chance I just got a jobsworth person on the phone so I'll give it a day or so and try again and see if I'm any luckier. It's worth a go Desmo, I'm really sorry to have messed you about on that but I'm afraid you're right - The chances are that I'll end up doing what you did and buying a new console and because of the deals about I may as well get one with a bigger drive and probably HDMI output as well.

What were you looking to pay out Z? I've got mine sitting here still. Wasn't sure whether to flog it on or try and repair it myself.

£25 and I get it over to you? I've got power supply to which I'd guess you need and have the standard scary cable too.
