Well yeah, ditch that Panther disc for starters. You do know Panther is PowerPC-only don't you? (Tiger was the first one that supported Intel, and we're on Leopard now). Do what Feek said instead.

Leopard is a problem in VMs as far as I know, unless it's changed recently.
