I doubt missing a cardio session would set you back noticably, it might even leave you feeling more rested.

I hope you go this week, and I hope you enjoy it as well. If you're uncertain about how knackered it will leave you then ease up a bit and gradually increase how much effort you put in, week after week.

You'll find it MUCH easier this week Sam, and the week after it will be easier still

Keep with it and you'll reap the rewards

I did enjoy the class even if I didn't enjoy the agony I was in the following days so I think I will go again (of course I'm assuming its on - I don't know where the instructor comes from and there is a fair bit of snow about)

I can't say I agree, it is going to take more than one class before I start to find it easier at all :/

I usually find the best way to combat the aches is to attack them head on with the normal routine

No good if you are cramping though :/

Wish I had a kickboxing class near me.. /looks

When I first did Body Pump, I didn't think I'd ever be able to go to the gym again. My legs felt like they were made of wood and everything REALLY hurt. I told my mate that if it felt like this every week, I'd have to give up. He told me to persist and I was fine the next time. I still get a bit achy if I up my weights - my abs and shoulders were really achy yesterday, but it only lasts a day or so and then I'm good again

Well I went and I am again broken but random bits of me aren't trying to cramp up when I so much as breathe so I'm already doing better than this time last week. Discovered I am carp at dodging and and guaranteed to end up with a black eye sooner rather than later. Class size dropped from 12 to 6 with there only being me and 1 other female.

I'm the only girl in my class... I don't give a **** !

It's fun sparring with the boys, they're mostly gentle for a few mins then they treat me like one of the lads

I always think that some people want to spar with effort and others aren't really happy doing so, I usually see how they hit me then return the favour so they're not uncomfortable.
