But what does he then connect it to? Surely if he needs to connect it to a laptop or something to use the mass storage facilities, he'd be better just taking the laptop.
Pete could you have the smaller images then have the rest on your webspace which you can then view via safari?

For some unknown reason the iPod Touch and iPhone don't have the disk mode feature. Its a bit odd. Even if they did I'd still need to plug it into something or hope an application comes out to enable disk access. But either way my Dad made a good point. It might not be the best thing to carry my entire portfolio around in hires on a small easily stealable device. I've got 10gb webspace and I'll have to look into sorting some form of stock library I think.

He's spot on there. Your portfolio is everything to you - not worth the risk. I'd put some thought into how to protect your work online before uploading there too as it's even easier to 'lose' online stuff.

I did a quick google and found nothing so placed the order. I figured it had a big screen, the ability to zoom in and lots of space so it'd be fine. Just seems so silly zooming in on a 640px image.

Hmmm I'm wondering if there is something we can do with your touch so you can control your mac from home and upload/email any images you need.

So long as there's basic file browsing facilities on it, he could attach the hires version to an email or whatever. But as it cant be used like that it's moot!

This is probably the easiest way you'll manage to get decent resolution pictures on it. edit - or maybe, http://www.insanelygreattees.com/news/?p=51 - "Filemarks let you store high res images, text files, and PDFs on an iPhone!" May well work
