When it syncs now, does it sync and you can still use the phone when its doing it, or does it still need to not be used whilst its doing it. Mine phone is being silly this evening, the home screen button is refusing to work about 90% of the time, so I tried to sync it to see if that would do it, (seems to have done the trick incidently) but I can still use the phone normally whilst its apparently syncing. Is this an iOS5 thing? I have the circle shaped thing with the arrows going round at the top, but nothing where its showing the battery level and sync (and if I was to unlock the phone the sync would stop.
Hope that makes sense! Last edited by Knipples; 23-10-2011 at 21:00. |

Just discovered something with the notifications on the lock screen.
Already spotted that, when a new notification arrives, the slider says "Slide to view" or "Slide to read" or similar and takes you directly to the item which has just arrived. If you leave it and come back later then the slider reverts to "Slide to unlock" again. Well I've only just discovered that you can slide individual notifications in the list - just slide the app icon on the left across to the right on the one you're interested in et voila!

Home button may be a different issue though - they have a habit of getting dust under them which can make them unresponsive. If this is what you've got, you can try fixing it yourself (blow into the dock slot, maybe push the home button while you're doing it). If not, it's off to see a Genius. |

Since I updated, its now putting any song I purchase since then onto the phone when it sync's. I don't want them on my phone, I want them on my ipod, how do I stop this from happening?

Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped writing about other things and made this your signature, yours could be like mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like. I'm on a computer. |

Yup, did mine the other day. Less than 10 minutes and no faffing about backing up and re-syncing

Same. Had a fair few app crashes since the update though, so I fear Apple may have rushed this one out to placate those with battery issues.
