I was treated to the Orange Box today

Only played Portal so far but I absolutely adore it. Great humour on great game play, I'm a big puzzle nut anyway and this is something really different. I heart it.

I tried to get it today from Blockbuster but they only had 6 copies delivered and they all sold yesterday. I'll try to pick it up next weekend when I pick up Pro Evo

When I play Portal etc through Steam, there is an 'Achievements' option from the front end of each game but none of them are unlocked even though I've done them.

How does this work, is it linked to the Live profile somehow, in which case where do I tell it what my Live ID is? And why are none of them showing unlocked?

Not sure about unlocking them but you wont be able to Link it to your Live ID. Steam and GFW Live are in competition so it doesn't make sense to.

[edit]Apparently you can't unlock the achievements unless you're connected to Steam and not in offline mode.

Aye, the more I've thought about it, the more tempted I am

So I'll trade in some older stuff and buy it hopefully for a decent price.

I had a quick blat at the PC version earlier today and died horribly. Looks fun with the Pixar style characters though
