Pedantry maybe, but that's not factually correct. The original image you posted showed Google Toolbar, which counts (even though technically that blocks popups, not inline ads). It's been a long time since I've used Google Toolbar because more recent browsers have the search box built in, but I don't recall any specific problems here. Even so, it's still a possibility. Try disabling it and see if that makes any difference.

Worth having a scour around your machine for anything else you didn't think did adblocking, but actually does? Antivirus, Antispyware, Firewall (either on the PC or router), proxy, etc. would all be candidates. Also clear the IE cache and have a look around your IE settings to see if you've disabled anything that might be relevant.

No router, windoze firewall, AVG av prog, spybot+adaware.
IIRC I haven't changed any IE settings from defailt.

Actually, I do have Firefox currently installed.
