Urgh, I really hate it when people don't understand that if a phone is ringing out no one is there or available to answer it. It's not that hard a concept.
On Mondays I'm getting in to work at 6am, most of the office doesn't get in until nearly 8am. Hawaii is 3 hours behind West coast time, and I think 6 behind East coast time. It's not unusual for folks to be ringing at 6am, but it seems every week I have a persistent idiot calling our office manager, and it'll continue for 5 minutes with a short break every now and then. Take a hint, she's not there, sod off and DIE!
*grumble*

We all have softphones now. Most days I set mine on 'out of office' before I go home so it never even rings. Not that anyone calls me.

PS - I hate softphones. It's the headsets, not the technology - I've got an adapter at home (now rarely used but still online), and I'm also happy using Skype from my iPhone, but headsets - urgh.

My headset in my new job is rubbish. You have to push it to your ear to hear anything.

Knew I should've kept my old one!

Blame it on the new owners! Mr Al-Fayed sold out to Dubai a few weeks ago, so it's obviously all their fault.

Well, this thread does say irrational, right?

When people use one of those little pots on the worktop to put used teabags in WHEN THE BIN IS RIGHT NEXT TO THEM
