If that shuttle company is that good then I'd be keen to know too - though it's a flat fare of $45 for a cab, if it is as good as you say it is that would be brilliant.
Last time I stayed at the red roof inn near Korea town (56 W and 6th I think) very good, and works out to less than $100 a night.

Super Shuttle if memory serves?
You dont even have to book, go to the Ground Transportation desk after youve collected your luggage, and the agents will put you on a "collection list". They put certain people together if they are all going to be dropped off in the same area. Either way, its about a 45 minute wait I think whether you've booked or not, its a mare when you're just soooooooooooo excited and want to get going already |

ours was there when we arrived and we were in NYC within the hour! Super shuttle sounds familiar, dropped us right at the front door of the hotel. Awesome!

There was a TGI Fridays right opposite the hotel we stayed in (Ramada New Yorker), by a McDonalds as I recall. There's a nice cinema there too, something to do perhaps when the nights are too cold to do much else
