Tell me… what are your reasons for using FaceBook...?

Facebook actually really gets on my nerves, but it sadly fulfils a lot of secret vices I have; namely spying on people, talking about myself and looking at pictures of my friends being stupid and drunk. Whilst I enjoy it, if there was another way I could keep in touch with my friends up and down the country (literally every person I care to keep in contact with is on Facebook) this easily, I would probably use it.

I dislike Mark Zuckerberg and his following of sycophants, I hate the stupid apps and I hate Facebook's pride in its poor-quality photo-sharing app. I also dislike the fact that someone who's heard my name thinks that we're now Facebook friends. I had a request from a girl whose boyfriend made my life a living hell in High School. I've had them from countless people who I would cross the street to avoid (as a result of their actions, and my inherent fear of potential altercations with these people!). The best one I got was from a girl who works here - I'm not a huge fan of hers and she doesn't like me. I don't talk to her that often and we're not in the same "circle", so when she added me as a friend I rejected. She then got all weepy and asked one of my friends why I didn't accept - I mean, pathetic really!

The thing I hate most about it is that I have to experience every night out about 4 times. My mates from work will go out (I'm not a huge fan of socialising with people from the current place I work as a lot of them are dicks!) and take about a billion photos, put them on Facebook, I'll invariably peruse them to see what they got up to, then they'll send me links to these photos, then they'll spend the time until the next social going on about all the hilarious photos! Damn you, Facebook!!

It's purely a curiosity thing, but also a place I can share what's happening in my life. I much prefer to keep in touch with people on the phone and by text or even in person but sometimes it's just not possible to do that.

My reasons aren't much more complicated than that really. Probably laziness on my part a little too...

Though it's good for sharing pictures and holidays, events with people too. As well as organising parties etc...

This sums it up pretty well for me too.
