I'm gonna agree with Nokkon, they aren't as good as they once were, but they're still very good for their price range. The 32" Sony my sister owns is great for the money she paid (£399 about a year ago). For £500 that TV is still a steal, it's just not a Kuro or anything, but what do you expect for that pricing!

I wouldn't say they're superb, they're average at best at overpriced (though this particular one obviously isn't) for the features you get.

Each to their own though, personally I wouldn't touch a Sony TV after the experience that a few friends and family members have had.

Kameo - £3.85 at ShopTo

They even support quidco so if you're really cheap you can knock 20p off of it Feeling a little bit silly; i only bought it two weeks ago for £7 second hand.

Sorry but I've seen nothing but good reviews for the Sony Bravias - they seem to be regarded as one of the best LCDs out there in general.

Not sure which exact model this deal was for but suspect it may have been the V4000 which I have and absolutely love.

Now they're famous for being over priced. You can pretty much always get better for the price or equal quality for less. They're far from being top of their game in any respect any more.

Of course reviews are always unbiased and accurate, aren't they?

Like I said, I can only base my opinion on first hand experience that friends and family members have had with Sony TV's in the last couple of years and based on that experience I wouldn't touch Sony with a barge pole.

You have a Bravia and are happy with it - good, but I'd be more likely to buy some unbranded TV than a Sony because they are essentially the same thing (I guess you know that most TV's irrespective of brand are made of the same components and and usually in the same factory on the same production line?) and would cost less.
