Now that is cool! I've seen a similar program called SmartScreen but that's a paid for app and AFAIK hasn't been released yet.

Very nice. I assume that doesn't prevent notifications or iPod controls working on the lock screen.

Nope, everything works just the same with regards to messages popping up and other controls. You can also fold and unfold each section so if I tap "Upcoming Events 1" on my screen it will unfold and show me the details. Same with texts, emails, etc. You can set the default to folded/unfolded and how many items it shows. It's pretty customisable

I've updated my 3GS to 3.1.2 using a firmware made through Pwnage tool.
Before I started I found some forum posts saying that having Icy installed can upset Cydia so I removed Icy from my firmware. No problems to report. |

Ok so i'm jailbroken, woo! But how do i remove Icy, since it might case problems and i don't really need it?
I also assumed backing up my iphone and "transfering purchases" would make sure i kept all my apps, but apparently not? I've lost them for good i suspect? Last edited by LeperousDust; 21-10-2009 at 09:25. |

Surely that shouldn't matter. Applications are linked to the iTunes account, not the actual device.

Sorry dude, I didn't know about the Icy problems when I built your firmware - I'll rebuild one tonight that hasn't got Icy installed and PM you a download link. Did you use the hacktivated version or normal? |

I used the hacktivated version, but tbh im not sure if i can be arsed doing all that again Especially if i cock up the apps again this is annoying redownloading everything! If i dont use Icy is it really a problem?

From what I read just having Icy installed is enough to screw up Cydia. I saw a screenshot someone posted of an error in Cydia saying that it couldn't identify what version of Cydia it was running and that there was no known fix short of a restore using a firmware that hasn't got Icy installed.
