You hate me eh? I'll be sure to remember that when I put some 'extras' into your new firmware

Which apps you get depends on what you want to do...
My most used are: Tube status (for London tube stuffs) Stanza (for ebooks) eBay (for eBay ) Capsuleer (for Eve stuffs) Wikipanion (for informations) ...and then various others on occasion the myO2 app works great for me on 3g but fails on wifi... Which is odd

3.1.2 on, Pwned, etc. Thanks to everyone for the advice.
I need to sync it back with iTunes to get all the apps and music back but that's no bother. I'll do it tomorrow when I've got the Mac running OS X (I had to do the convoluted PwnageTool (OS X) -> iTunes (Windows) -> iTunes (OS X) mess). Windows did the whole Backup/Upgrade/Restore sequence on its own though so all my SMS, email settings, contacts, Wi-fi settings etc. are still there. Maybe I can do away with the Windows step when I upgrade the Mac to Snow Leopard (procured a copy last week - just need to find the time to back everything up to a spare external drive and actually do it. PS - I got the problem with the carrier name not showing on the status bar. I presume everyone gets that as there are so many reports of it. Also got a hang when installing SBSettings but 3.0.1 did that too. Last edited by Mark; 26-10-2009 at 21:37. |

Install MakeItMine from Cydia and then you can manually set some text for the carrier. Not ideal but I prefer it to having a blank space.
