Think it's contract-only. I never got it to work but then I'm on PAYG.

MyO2 does work with PAYG. I had to try and log in god knows how many times before it would work. Once you're in though you set up a PIN and now it works every single time without fail.

Can you see anything about your account by logging in on the web? If I go to 'My O2' online, I can log in fine and see personal details, but as far as they're concerned my phone doesn't exist.

OK, despite the missing account details (would be nice to be able to fix that), I cracked it:
  • Fix the APN settings on the iPhone - forgot to do that after upgrading.
  • Go to http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2, log in, click 'Find out more' under 'My personal details'.
  • In the personal details page, make sure the mobile number listed is correct. If not, change it. You'll get an activation code to enter.
  • Go back to My O2 on the iPhone and log in.

my "my o2" works now. i had a second account on their site which had been generated for me, which is stupid and i'll never remember.

this one works on my phone, i can check my balance online with the more sensible username. it works but is a bit silly.

Doodle jump everyone. My favourite app with a special Halloween update!

Doodle jump rocks! Enter your name as Boo to get the Halloween version or use a name of one of the pygmys in Pocket God (Ooga for example) to get the Pocket God version.

Thanks Takhisis.

In summary, Orange's £30 contract deal is better than O2's, and their internet tethering rate is also much better (though why either company charge for that is still beyond me). Other than that, one could be forgiven for suggesting there was some price fixing going on. Surely Apple would never do such a thing, would they?

Wonder if the OFT will take a look.
