The Power of Words
An important song about the power of taboo language
I think he gives away what its about quite quickly so if you feel racist language isn't appropriate at work you probably should only listen at home. MB |

Excellent stuff, I hadn't really heard too much of his material before somehow but what I have heard is pretty good.

Saw Tim Minchin tonight at Robin Ince's 'Nine Lessons and Carols for Godless People' show at the Apollo. There were loads of comedians, musicians and scientists doing bits of stand-up, songs and readings respectively. Among them were Ricky Gervais, Ince himself, Dara O'Brien, Stewart Lee, Richard Dawkins and Jarvis Cocker. Minchin was on last and did a brilliant jazz beat poem about a girl called 'Storm' (also the name of the poem) whom he meets at a party who is a spiritualist, and goes on to tear her adopted buzzword philosophies to shreds. Sheer brilliance. One of the best acts there.

Great stuff.
Didn't realise what the guy's name was despite seeing him in quite a few things in the past.
