Time for some more power
A little package turned up in the post today.
Well actually there were two: What's inside: Ooo it's a matched pair of brand new 45 Webers!!! I decided that running oversize chokes in my ancient 40's wasn't ideal for power or economy, they needed a rebuild, plus they didn't match up to the manifold without a step. Upgrade was in order, so once I've sold off all my 40 DCOE kit it shouldn't look as expensive as my bank balance suggests They'll be going on when I pull the engine out for the rebuild.

Why does everyone call them 45 Webers when the website lists them as being Weber 45s?

It doesn't *really* matter though does it?
Technically they are 45mm Weber DCOE's.

No it doesn't 'matter' as such, I was just interested as to if there was a reason behind it.

I had an HS and I loved it to bits.
I replaced it with an RS2000 custom, which wasn't really any good until I'd fitted a few basic chassis mods. Last edited by A Place of Light; 24-04-2009 at 16:05. |
