Default Wispa Gold is making a comeback!

Quote:
Hello

We’ve got some great news for you. Gold news, in fact. Thanks to everyone’s passion, Wispa Gold is coming back for a limited run from September 2009. It’s going to be like a gold rush, but with chocolate.

It all kicked off yesterday with a little celebration at the factory in Bournville – fans Cara Stripp, Tony Halson and Ollie Emery donned some gold hard hats and officially pushed the button to get production rolling – it was dazzling (literally, in a bling kind of a way). We’ll post some pictures in a bit.

Much more to come – and we want you to get involved, so here’s a couple of things we’re going to be doing to whet your appetite…

Worth it’s Weight
Wispa Gold is going to be pretty precious, especially the first bar to roll off the production line. How would you like to be the only member of the UK public in possession of a Wispa Gold bar before they go on general sale in September?

We’re shipping the first bar of the limited edition return to Selfridge’s Wonder Room in London to put it on display for one week only between 3rd – 9th August and it’ll be advertised for sale at a guide price of what it would be worth if it was made from real gold - £833.43. We’re then going to sell the bar through e-bay, so even if you can’t afford that price, you never know, you could get lucky! All proceeds to the Ghana Wells charity, because we like Ghana, and we like wells (check out the link at the bottom for more info).

You can also get involved by dusting off your camera and papping the bar in its specially designed display case in Selfridges and uploading your snaps to the Wispa Facebook photo album.

The Gold Treatment
Newsagents are pretty excited about Wispa Gold coming back too, so we’re rewarding one really passionate shop by letting it be the first one to stock the bars just ahead of the official launch in September and making a real spectacle of it – think blimps, dancers, that sort of thing. You might want to pop along – you get to buy Wispa Gold early, and you get to enjoy some real Wispa revelry. More details to follow.

Lots more things happening, and we know you’ll want to hear about them, so look out for more news soon. In the mean time, feel free to start buying everything gold you see in the shops in preparation. Balloons are an especially good choice.

Best wishes,
Wispa

What was the one with biscuit in it? That was the only one worth caring about.

I love my chocolate but I really don't think I could get excited about a chocolate bar being launched. I don't get all the fanfare

Wispas were yummy but Wispa gold was far too sweet for me. Now if they want to bring back Gambit instead...... they were really yummy!
