Default Fullmetal Alchemist

Anyone seen this series?

I just watched Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shambala which is a movie that was done after the series, I really liked it but I get the feeling the series has a lot more mythical stuff as the film is based mostly on Earth and not Al and Ed's own parallel world.

Its a long series so if I get into it I'm going to be locked in for quite a while.

Worth investing the time?

I may be essex bound soon so if you want some sample copies, givvus a shout. I haven't seen the film yet, but the series is damn good. It is based around the world of alchemy and the fact that with equal trade and the right ingrediants anything is possible. For instance lead to gold, healing.... the question is what ingrediants are needed to bring someone back from the dead? What is the price that must be paid?

The two young boys Al and Ed find out at the start of the price of this, and the series follows the adventures that ensue from there decision as young alchemists. You certainly attach to the characters very easily which makes things more interesting. A very good and moving series, some really gut wrenching scenes and one of the better series that i've seen in a long while. The series starts fairly slowly, but soon picks up pace.
