Default 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

... lift-off

Given that I goofed up both cameras and missed the moment of launch () recovering in time to get that was nothing short of miraculous.

Best. Photo. Ever. And far too good not to share - even with the slightly wonky horizon (which I'll fix when I get home).

Horizons off... *runs*

Must have been amazing to see. Its something I've always wanted to see. So symbolic of man blasting off into the stars, the future etc.

6 miles, and not very, even though the sound suppression water system failed. Was plenty audible though which is quite something from 6 miles away - imagine the sound system required for that.

Would have been even better had I actually been able to record it (wanted to time how long it took for the sound to reach me). Might be something on YouTube I guess.

PS - just for Pete - I fixed the horizon (but haven't uploaded it yet).
