Default Windows 7 sleep issue - a rough solution

One of the things that has annoyed me with win 7 is the sleep policy. Having the machine automatically shut down when I'm not using it and then WOL is great for a media server that isn't used that often. However if you have a program running and don't use the keyboard, then it will still go to sleep (mid backup and scan for example).

I managed to find a solution for this by using this little app. It's very handy as it prevents me having to go into power options and set manually to never turn off..... inevitably you end up forgetting to turn it back on.

Not pretty but it does the job.

Since the source code is included, I could probably add minimize-to-tray to that (I've done tray apps before). Interested?

I'll try and find some time. Given my whole BD lotto fiasco I'm not making promises, but if I can, I will. Either way, thanks for the tip - useful for me too.
