Default Hong Kong through a 50mm

Back in England (just missed that Volcano ash!), took with me only a 30D with a 50mm, was quite limiting as for a lot of the time it was quite long but I knew it and it was partly the point, what better way to learn a lens and that focal length (as I am contemplating getting a 85mm for my 5D) than to use it 100% of the time.

So here it is, more in my flickr HERE

Thanks for looking

they're awesome! I can't wait to graduate so I can earn some moolah & buy a new camera

I've also shared your flickr link with a friend from HK as I'm sure she'll appreciate them as she's not been back there for a few years now.

Brilliant

I took my 400D and 50mm to a friends wedding last year, it really made me think about composition, and framing. Its not as easy as zooming in and out, you have to get up and move around to get the shot you want. The bride was very happy with my "guest" shots

Do people on the street not mind you getting up that close and taking a picture? I think if I did that in London I'd end up being thumped

They just mostly look away if they see me, if that.

I am quite happy how it turned out with just 1 lens for a week, learned a lot too about that focal length.
