It's a shame, he was on telly during the recent World Championships, he played a game (and lost) but he was barely recognisable. He seems to still have all his marbles but he's just incredibly weak and frail. He looks even weaker now that he did just a few weeks ago.
He's supposedly been in this state for a good few years now, I hope that he manages to get some teeth back and actually start putting some weight back on.

He still had the old characteristic Higgins style when playing that frame at the World Championship. Keep still on the shot? Nah - don't need to do any of that.  Brain says it's the slippery slope (been going downhill for years), heart wishes him the best. |
