Default Water Beds

Just wondered if anyone here has one, or used to have one?

Ive recently purchased a zero damping (which is coooool for making waves) in an attempt to have a better nights sleep (those on my FaceBook will know from my staus updates Ive got some funky health issues going on)

Didnt buy new, so didnt get any instructions, its hard sided, and I have it filled just below the sides. If anyone else has had one, would like your thoughts on getting the water level right, correct temp etc etc

Thanks

Make sure you buy the condition stuff you need to keep the water ok.

I havent had one, but Marchant (the child I used to look after) does. His Mum got it for him cos it means its easier for him to move about (his body has spasms he can't control which used to wake him up on an ordinary bed)

We just filled it up with a hose pipe and then added the conditioner stuff. You have to put more in like once a year, but you can buy it from where you got the bed.

Bunged a years worth of conditioner in and 'burped' the bed when I did the first fill, though Ive pulled a bit of water out as I had a little too much in there to start with...got a little carried away I think

Ooooh and has anyone tried a 'sheepskin' mattress cover?

We have a waterbed... I love it !

Ours is a hardside one, have it filled just level with the side... I'll never have a normal bed ever again, so nice to get into a nice snuggly warm bed in winter.

What is this sheepskin mattress cover you speak of ?

I LOVE getting into a warm bed, without having to warm it up first, my next one might have a single baffle instead of being free flow though.

The sheepskin is something I saw on one of the other bed adds...didnt know if it was a waterbed 'thing' or just something else to make the bed warmer / more snuggly, will be looking into getting one next pay day I think
