Digital Photo Frame Recommendations

We've decided to spend some of our gift money on a digital photo frame. The wedding pictures are going to be too good just to keep in a book and I'd like to have them all rotating on display.

Is there anything I should aim for features or manufacturers wise? Looking to get the biggest screen we can for a reasonably amount of money, £100-150?

Or are they all much of a muchness?

Pretty much. You'll get more/less features, obviously (like transitions, and some have sound, or a calendar, or somesuch else).

I just went into a store and picked one that did what I wanted, had plenty of room for a USB stick behind the frame, and I liked the look of (both the frame itself and the picture presented) - you're going to look at it every day so aesthetics are a good selling point.

All that said, others may have better experience - I haven't got around to loading any pictures on mine yet - though that will be done in due course.

Yeah, I didn't think there would be much between them apart from picture quality (which is obviously important) and their design. I want one that looks nice though.

Might take a look up at Comet in the week and see what they have and then order online.

My FiL has a nice one, he always does a lot of research on what he buys so it will be the best quality for a reasonable sum. I'll ask him if you like

Yeah, if you can do. Not in any rush to get out and buy one so plenty of time to get some opinions

FiL says it's a Samsung 1000W

He's a stickler for research so it probably the best quality at a reasonable although not nessesarily low price

You're right, it's not the cheapest but it does look really nice, like a normal photo frame. Seems to have some nice features and I need something that does the photos justice

Cheapest I could find was £140. Like you say, not the cheapest but the specs were spot on as is the style of it. With all the front lights off, it looks like a normal picture frame which was high on my list of wants.

One thing you should know is that DSLR output photos with a ratio of 3:2, and I always try to maintain this ratio. So the frame of 4:3 will give you black bars top and bottom, unless it can stretch proportionally.

I think all the photo frames will be 4:3 anyway so no way around it. I'm pretty sure it will stretch to fill but if it doesn't then I'll crop a set myself. I know I'll be losing some of your composition, but it's better than having black bars I think.
