Default Sheds / Garage?!

Hey people

What Sam and I need.... :

- A Shed/Garage to house 3 Motorbikes
- 12 x 10 foot roughly in size
- As secure as possible
- Preferably portable (we're moving house in the next few months so building a breeze block garage is a little pointless!)
- £0 to £800 spending Maximum... much much less than £800 if possible as we're broke!

We've looked at a second hand metal garage and it was *the* pants. Seriously... someone could have sneezed by it and it would have fallen apart. This has kind of put us off metal garages to be honest but perhaps we've just had a bad experience.

We're thinking more of a wooden shed now (no windows) but are not sure if they would be secure enough.

Any ideas/suggestions/places to look? Have tried ebay and gumtree and preloved and there's a few wooden sheds at £350 - £500 new but just... not sure...

Hmmmmmmmmm diggity!

Can't offer much advice on suitability, however, this website seems to have windowless wooden sheds and metal sheds in the right dimensions that aren't too pricey. How secure they are though I don't know.

I've been looking for Exactly the same thing & found this site to be best value.
A 10x8 will cost ya 400 quid.

Thats the exact shed I bought from the same people about 2 years ago

Its a bit pony in the construction stakes (wood a little thin), although it has stood up to 2 winters. I do paint it every year though saying that. Personally, I would buy something like that with a view to it being a simple cover rather than a secure storage area and then have the bikes attached to the ground with some serious stakeage.

as long as the Bikes are out of sight, a good few chains and a couple of ground anchors concreted inside the shed would be fine. even pick up a cheap alarm for inside the shed!

I reckon you can't beat a 2nd hand baby monitor if you have power in your shed. Just them busting in to the shed would wake you up via the monitor/receiver & then you can Yawp out the window & call the law.

Hahaha! I like the baby monitor idea... I'd want a two way one so I could scare the Bejesus out of them!

I'm going to attempt... to speak with some specific motorbike shed companies and see whether anyone would be willing to give a discount for the cause/freebie... which we would return by the time we leave and advertise through our blog and agency. So... *A LOT* of marketing for them... item returned to them as a second hand to sell on... I think they'd be foolish to not consider it.

Tomorrow, I will try my best!

Will report back! Hoping one step better - they will give us a shed so we can sell it at the end of 9months and put the proceedings towards our charities! Fingers crossed eh!?

Looks like this might happen!

O_o!

Advertising for them... shed for us... shed returned after 9 months.

Will wait and see... not holding breath too much just yet!
