It is tempting - they are supposed to be bloody good cards but the GPU client for F@H only works on ATI cards.

I think I'll wait for the R600 cards (will probably wait until native quad core CPUs and Vista are out and working properly and build an uber gaming rig ).

I'll stick with my overclocked, crossfire X1900s for now - they do a damn good job even at 1920x1200

Way, way, way, way, way over priced. Especially when you consider there is hardly a game out there that can't be run very nicely on current hardware! Only advantage is DirectX10 and thats not going to come to fruition for a while on the gaming front.

Im very likely to get one, but not for wa while yet. Im currently building an uber rig with Phase and water cooling. But im getting all the parts that depreciate slowly first, i.e. Case, Phase unit, water loop, harddrives etc. The CPU, GPU and ram will come last. Probably not going to get it until march time next year. Im also waiting for the Kentsfield to be released as well.

Is it me or are top level cards getting more expensive. When the 9800 pro first came out it was no where near that expensive.. Progression doesn't mean it has to cost the earth. I think intel have learnt that now.

Stupidly expensive.
Not going to bother. Will wait for R600 and then think about it.

You're right, Huddster. I paid £350 for my 9700 Pro when it was top of the range.

Don't think I paid much more than that for my 9800 Pro AIW when they were new.
