Sorry, I know that not everybody understands these things, but I just had to LOL at this...

After trying to get my wheels aligned at a few independent places I was told it was possible but it would effect my 'active steering sensor' and I'd have a warning light on dash. I didn't want to pay the £250ish Stealers charge, so I mentioned it to my Indy garage when i booked it in for a service, He said have the wheels aligned and they will re-set the sensor.

The guy at the wheel alignment place said the reason for the problem is the Cruise control is controlled by satelite and that the steering if also effected by the satelite, when driving with CC on. He said that the system recognises a bend in the road and car will steer that way, a bit?
Found this on the BMW forums I sometimes read

ROFLMAO. I'm not sure if he made that up to fob the customer off or because he really is an incompetent fool. Either way, it's as good an example as any of why you should be careful who you trust to work on your car.

PS - most people here know I don't own a car and know next to nothing about the innards, but even I could see right through that one.

You should try Desmo farts instead. They're certainly plenty effective at propelling anyone within smelling distance.
