Default Ford trying it on

Cheeky buggers, I've taken my car to them a fair few times but the mechanic was clearly taking the mic.
"your windscreen wipers are smdfggjn"
"what?"
"they're smeary, its £15"
"no, worked ok on the way to you this morning, i'll wipe them with a sponge"
"one of your washer jets is blocked, £8"
"you mean the one that squirts water over the top of the windscreen?"
"erm, yeah"
"well when I can be bothered to do it with a pin i'll do it"
"one of your tyres is down to 2mm"
"really? good for the tyre.... it was 3mm on the fronts yesterday"
"your front fog is cracked, £35"
"no, well it was cracked when I brought the car and its not an MOT failure and its not going to fail"

What a load of crap, never had this crap come from them in the past. The only thing that wasn't surprising was that my aux belt needed doing.

Dovercourts?
I used to have a very good relationship with my local Ford dealer but suddenly all the staff changed and after a service they gave me a huge list of things that neéded doing. I went elsewhere and onlY one thing needèd any attention. I've not been back.

Malcs wiper tip of the week.
Vinegar on kitchen towel/tissue and give them a good old rub will be as good as new.

It's an old wives tale........
I know me old wife told me this morning

I think i nicked that off the RAC advert so the fix may only work for 5mins then leave you stranded again five minutes up the road.

Ok i'll give that a go. It could do with a wash but if I only need to clean the wiper blades, all the better

it's not a particular brand of vinegar, any will do. It should cut through the grease

Use white vinegar.

Mix it with a bit of isopropyl alcohol, some fairy liquid and water to make your own window cleaner/screen wash.
