Call of Duty 2
Just completed this (on easy as I wanted to play it through once before going for Veteran Mode) and really enjoyed it.
It's extremely linear and really you're getting guided through the story every step of the way, with no chance of going anywhere other than where the game wants you to go, but it's a great experience. Some of the missions really draw you in. I found in particular a mission set on D-Day at the beach landings was really emotive. Won't spoil it but there were a few bits that surprised me. There was actually a bit where I had a timer saying 5mins till reinforcements and I was actually worried about if all my troops would make it Doesn't even matter as long as you survive but guess it gets you attached to them. Was good fun to play a game that kept me playing that much, not great at getting round to completing games so this one must have been something. Now to master it, get all the achievements and get vaguely good enough to play it online.

I'm still in the middle of it but set to veteran level... For some stupid reason I can't run it properly on DX9c - drives me bonkers as it looks so pretty
It's a cracking game - I don't really play computer games and I've had this for 6 months at least - I play for an hour once a month max, but for me that's a lot of computer gaming! I get bored of games though Which is why I don't play them, and I'm ****e at them too!

Funny thing is I get bored of games.....so I end up owning loads so I can just switch and not get bored.
That's why I don't often complete games. Definitely going back to it on veteran level though, it was good fun Plus I reckon my Dad will want to have a look at it at Xmas and go 'ooooh it's lifelike' which unfortunately he's been saying since the original Tomb Raider

Sound on full blast, it's ****ing scary at times. It reminded me of saving private ryan at times. I have to say if I could run it on full graphics without it being at 6 FPS I'd love it even more!
Veteran level's where it's at. One thing I didn't like was the "recovery" thing when you get injured - it was almost perfect lest for that.

The D-Day bit feels very Saving Private Ryanish Really impressed me.
Recovery thing I'm conflicted on......as a gamer I like it, but for realism it is a bit crap. Get shot to pieces and oh look, if you wait around for a few seconds, you're fine.

Bought it when it came out and due to a graphics issue with the ATI card I really never played it past the first level. Must re-load and play again.

I do like the look of this and will probably pick it up at some point. May wait till the 2nd hand price comes down a bit though, which it probably should do now CoD3 is out on the 360.

"Things have come a long way since King's Quest V haven't they?" She then asked what the game was about. "Well, my character has been injected with a serum by the bad guys that turn me partly into a beast with feral abilities, allowing me enhanced vision, strength and... you know what, never mind." At that point a siren went off in the camp I was invading and the character (now with enhanced hearing) yells "****! Turn that ****ing thing off!" La la la la la la.

Was a short game! I get confussed with this and the first one!!
SPOILERS - I quite liked repairing the comms cable bit The final scene was a bit arcady for my liking, when you defend the house at the the end. What else was there???? i can't remember.. Can't be a good thing.. Remembers RTCW and MoH AA vividly to this day
