Angry 17" monitor

17" CRT monitors which can only do 60Hz at 1280x1024 SUCK.

Fact.

That is all.

They sure do. What also sucks is coming into the office to find that some prick has swapped your nice 24" widescreen TFT for a 17" TFT. Heads will roll.

Got a few of them at work. One of them went bang a few months back and got swapped for another. :/

Only on servers though, and I just use remote admin to avoid the problem.

Shame you didn't mention this at the weekend. You could have had a nice 18" NEC MultiSync tft

mejinks - - wish I'd known.

My screen has been suffering for a while, I'm planning on replacing it with an LG 20" tft either in Jan or Feb next year but it's finally gone into "won't start up if I'm cold" mode. A while ago it reduced the image width by about an inch at 1600x1200 so I wound it down to 1280x1024 and it was OK but I knew it was failing.

It's not done bad though, Iiyama 19" CRT Diamondtron (the Mitsubishi version of Trinitron) screen which must be 8 or 9 years old back from when 19" monitors were £OMGHOWMUCH? to buy.

Borrowed this 17" from work today, I'm now down to 1024x768.

I think my eyes are going to fall out before I can get the new one

If you'd told me, I'd have given you a 19" CRT on the way home from Swansea. Taking up space I need here.

Dell 2405 or 2407 is the way to go as im sure Baddass will agree. Ive got a 2405, and its the best thing ive ever bought for my pc. It almost makes browsing an intense experience.
