What should I buy to play on my 360?
I've run out of games, bored of PGR3, part way through Oblivion and finished GRAW (really enjoyed that) What should I get next?

I personally enjoyed Tomb Raider, especially with the new 'Dragon's Lair' style cut scenes where you have to press various buttons to control the outcome. It's fairly short but I'm thinking of replaying it soon for achievements, maybe on a higher difficulty.
Condemned is quite original and thoroughly entertaining, as long as you have a stack of spare pants nearby. I quite liked the forensic bits but it does mollycoddle you slightly by pretty much telling you where to look. The only other ones I've played recently that you haven't are Perfect Dark, which was pretty good fun, and FarCry which I've barely touched. I can't see me buying another game until Dead Rising though since I still have GR:AW and FarCry to get through.

Definitely agree with Tomb Raider. It's pretty short (around 10 hours or so I reckon), but it was the most enjoyable Tomb Raider experience I've had since the first one. The series has definitely got back on the right track.
Burnout Revenge is excellent for some destructive automobile carnage. Not as easy to pick up and play as the earlier ones due to a lack of a 'quick play' option, but it shouldn't detract from what is an amazing game. Condemned is also very good, quite slow paced I think, but that's not really a bad thing. It builds up the suspense in a very similar fashion to System Shock 2 (nothing happens for a while then somethnig jumps out and makes you crap yourself). Hitman: Blood Money has been my favourite game of late. The missions are varied and all will test you in different ways. There seems to be no one single way to do a mission perfectly, you can play it in different ways and still get a perfect rating if you're quiet enough. Any of these would keep you busy for a while. |

Any of my other recommendations will still be good, as will others like Top Spin 2, Fight Night Round 3, or Full Auto. All good games which are well worth playing |

I had a blast on Dead or Alive - quality gameplay and the characters are pretty sweet! Fighting games arent my bag but I found this quite enjoyable!! Good one to have for when your mates come over too
Did you have an original xbox? if not, get Halo/Halo 2 - great games even by today's standards and should be really cheap even if you dont pick it up preowned! |
