Question LG 32" LCD TV?

Evening all,

This arvo I went into a shop browsing at LCD TVs, as my current TV is dying... I saw 2 I liked both LG, both 32" and both £599...

- 32LC2D
- 32LP1D

The questions are:
- Does any one know if they are any good?
- Is that price reasonable?
- Is there any better 32" out there for the money?

Cheers for the help!

Ok... ok... its a bit of a specific and unfair question... let me rephrase it/change it/ rant on in a slightly different and maybe easier to comment on way...

The TVs are 720p... So a man who goes by Zirax tells me... and one review I read mentioned a bit of noise on the picture...

Does anyone have some advice on whats best to get in an HD ready LCD TV - tbh I havn't had a chance to look at HD ready gear in detail so far...
I need techy buyer advice... ;-)

3 of my friends have HD TVs will tell you what they have.

on my way to work, will post more from there

EDIT: right in work now. The 3 TVs I know of 2 are Samsumg models and the other is a Toshiba. I've only actually seen the samsung models working with various sources, Sky Hi-Def, 360, HDMI DVD player and I have to say they look the business. They aren't the same model but both look excellent.

The one I'd recommend is the latest 32" offering from Samsung, my mate got his around 4 months back and loves it. This is given I've seen them in action. However the Toshiba owner is very happy with his and I've found a link here regarding a good deal on a new Tosh.

EDIT: it also depends on what you want to use it for

EDIT EDIT: However at this price the LG does seem appealing.

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-5686.aspx

On offer at Tesco, might expire today, originally retailed at £2k I believe. 37" for the same price, and quite a good TV I read (though it is discontinued now). Same resolution as that 32" (710p), has " HDMI ports, component, 2 RGB scarts, built in freeview.

Looks very good for the money.

In the mean time I'll keep looking about... :-)
