Has anyone tried Acousti fans?
http://www.acoustiproducts.com/en/ac..._dustproof.asp
I'm looking at buying three, a pair or 120's for the front and rear of my case to run at full speed and an exhaust to go in the top where there currently isn't one, probably at a reduced speed. They're damn expensive, it works out as over £60 buy all three but from what I can tell, they're the mutt's nadgers. Anyone tried them, or know anything about them?

I've got an 80mm version right here. Not had chance to put it to any more than testing use, so I can't comment on noise etc., but if they live up to the claims then they should be damn good (especially given how many fans I've had go to meet their maker due to dust).

It's 80mm that I'll be using as the top exhaust, I'm a little concerned about the airflow from them as the ones I've got may be higher (the stock stuff that came with my Lian-Li PC-7 plus II case) and I've got no real way of telling what spec they are.

I meant the specs of the fans that I've got fitted now I can find the model of the ones currently in the case (121225BL-4) but no specs to compare.

A fan looks pretty much like a fan tbh, the label is completely different but it could be the same just rebadged, if so then there's about a 10cfm difference.

Number and shape of blades is usually a good place to start, as that does tend to vary. Doesn't help with any RPM difference though.
Fans almost always get rebadged, so a different badge is likely. But, assuming the CFM difference is right, do you need that much airflow? |

Well I don't want any less than I have now. I'll end up with one blowing in and two exhausts plus the small one you've got blowing straight onto the northbridge.

I'd be inclined to leave it then. While cheap fans are likely to fail more often, how many can you buy for that £60?
