JAWS
Just watched Jaws on DVD for the first time in ages. I jumped at all the appropriate places as one is supposed to do! What a fantastic film it is, it's not one I watch very often but whenever I do I really enjoy it, I think it's Spielbergs best film (never seen Schindlers or Private Ryan).
However I spotted something today that I've never seen before. Two consecutive scenes have what appears to be a shooting star, or a UFO flying across the background. I've never noticed it before. Anyone else ever spotted this? Is there some deep background meaning to it or is it just something that was thrown in as a laugh?

I've been googling various combinations of 'jaws' and 'ufo' but not found anything

Well I never.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073195/...28505#47228505 If that's accurate, then it's a real shooting star and he used that as a trademark symbol in all his later films.

Haven't seen Jaws in years.
Bought the special edition dvd a couple of months ago but it's on the 'to be watched' pile. *goes to move it up the pile* Simon/~Flibster
