Xbox 360 Questions
I'm aiming to pick one up at the weekend. Is there anything I need to be careful/cautious about? I'll give it plenty of space and won't let it move when it's on.
For net access, I assume a normal ethernet cable is needed, rather than some bespoke MS cable?

Correct, and one comes (or used to anyway) bundled with the Premium. Not a lot else to say really, the power brick is a console in itself and needs room to breathe, and you'll be wanting a play and charge kit for sure. Other than that, just get yourself on Live off the bat and get stuck in

For the love of god don't move the console from horizontal to perpendicular or vice versa when it's on or you'll scratch the disc all to hell. I think that's the most prevalent n00b mistake that some make. Apart from that, as Daz says, play and charge is fairly handy.

If you can afford it, go for the Elite instead of the Premium. 120GB HDD and HDMI output make it more worthwhile in the long run IMO.

The Elite is the one I've been looking at. Just trying to find the best deal at the moment.

Probably sound advice given the price difference Plus you'll know they have half decent cooling and you'll be set for when they open video marketplace if that interests you.
Plus you'll be like all cool and stuff.
