Teens under the knife.
Did anyone see this last night ?
I don't know why but I ended up feeling very jealous of one of the girls It was quite a good programme - there was one overweight girl who really wanted a tummy tuck and liposuction but her Dad was dead against it because she was eating tons of ****e food and not exercising at all - in the end the surgeon refused to operate because she hadn't done anything to help herself in the first place. The second girl was very very slim but was also very flat chested - she had a boob job done and it looked like she must have gone up to at least an E cup. I ended up feeling very jealous and thinking how unfair it all was. I'm currently quite curvy but I know if I do manage to get down to about 7.5 stone again I'm gonna lose my boobies... or if I stay as I am I will have great boobies but with rolls of fat..... and here she is with the best of both worlds.... it's not fair !! Don't know why I'm posting this :/ |

Because you're a fool who gets sucked into the 'media' expected version of what women should look like rather than be happy that you look great (like all the girls here) and have someone who thinks you're amazing?
Sorry Sinead.

I'm not going to comment on the big boobed girl but I'm pleased to hear that the surgeon refused to operate on the overweight girl who couldn't even be arsed to try and help herself out first. People like that make me mad.

Answer me this. Seriously.
Where are your rolls of fat? Non existent. That's where. Anyone that has looked at the photographs of you can tell you that, but I'm beginning to think you need to learn to see it for yourself. I'm actually getting seriously concerned that you're so dead set on losing more weight. You're doing all this muscle building exercise, rather than very basic toning stuff, which is resulting in you developing a strong physique. That's fine but you seem to be expecting the weight loss along side it which is worrying. You know muscle is denser than fat... please, please don't get fixated on your weight as a measure for how good your body is. Please honey.. you're looking incredible already, I'd hate to see you take it too far the other way

I don't think I'm overweight at all but I DO have little rolls of fat - I can see it when I'm wearing a pair of fitted jeans with a tight t-shirt - the fat around my waist and lower back hangs over my jeans and creates a little roll.
I'm lifting the heavy weights because 1 I enjoy it and 2 if you build muscle you will naturally burn a little more fat than if you didn't have any muscle. I would like a little definition - I can see a wee bit in my shoulders, back and biceps and I think it looks really nice - I want to look like I go to the gym. Weight isn't the best measurement I know - I'm really going by BF% as a rule. I think my main problem is I am bigger than what I was before so I'm finding it hard to accept that I might be a better shape than before because of the slight muscle build but I'll get there one day Thank you both for your lovely, lovely words - this wasn't meant to be a down on my thread because to be honest I'm not really that down about myself. More of a rant at the unfairness of it all |

There are days when i really think about this kind of thing, mainly when people who are supposed to be supportive really aren't and often end up making me feel even worse.
I think i am right in believing that people are psychologically assessed before surgery in some cases. |

Any surgeon worth his salt (i.e. any surgeon that you want inside you) will give you a full physical and psychological assesment before they operate. It's not just to protect you but also to protect them from future lawsuits.

I saw it. The implants they used were C cups but they looked bigger on her as she was so small framed. In my opinion she would have looked better with something smaller but she was happy so who cares.
The downside is at 17 she hadn't finished growing. Who knows how her boobs would have looked naturally in a few years anyway. I'm comfortable in my own body and don't want surgery myself but I think that's definitely an age thing. The older I get the less I care!
