Default The Boxer Rebellion

"The Boxer Rebellion, currently finishing the follow up to their acclaimed 2005 debut Exits, take a somewhat different approach to making records.
For TBR it has always been about creating albums that can be listened to from start to finish, that take you on a journey and let you escape the day to day mundanity.
In the current climate of immediacy, and style over substance, The Boxer Rebellion prove that bands can still make albums that can be listened to long after those hogging the current spotlight have disappeared."

a band i always feel the need to pimp
the boxer rebellion have never 'made it big'
but they certainly deserve to

give them a listen

(i don't want to give them a review here or compare them to other bands, i'll let you make your own minds up!)

Very very good recommendation, post more! An album I will actually be buying if the rest is like the first three songs!

Listen, and listen loud

edit: I think I have heard one of their songs somewhere..... can't think where though

I got nothing but lag and jerky footage when I clicked onto their site.. Couldn't figure out a way to change that

What I saw/heard was pretty good though and when I am awake I'll probably track them down

Thanks for the headsup little porridge missing lass

a couple of their tracks are on the 'burtons' playlist
they've been used a few times on top gear (woo!)
one of their songs is used in the film 'football factory'

and at the beginning of october a few of their new tracks are being used on the 2nd half of ewan mcgreggors motorcycle diaries (and also being used on the subsequent johnathon ross show where he is interviewed about it)

i'm glad people seem to like them - i <3 this band with a passion
