Just installed Opera...
Oh it seems lovely
One thing I hate about firefox is that images can take ages to load, even if the rest of the site is fine. Do many sites support opera? Is it secure? I guess it is, but just wanted to check |

Yeah, it's secure etc., and it's supposedly the most standards-compliant browser.
Anyway, it seems they just spat their dummy so have gone down in my estimation... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7143912.stm I guess they do have a point about standards though. |

MS have dug themselves a bit of a hole when it comes to standards imo. I think the day will come (if it hasn't already) where someone in MS decides that the standards are there for a reason and IE needs to comply. But lets say they release IE8 tomorrow and it's totally 100% standards compliant.... they'd break a very large proportion of websites in a stroke and piss of devs and end users alike.
It's gonna take a long time to get there, if/when they want to.
